Lil' Kim is looking at serving more time than Michael Jackson, 30 years to be exact. And strangely, with the child in Jackson's case lying on the stand, Kim's future is looking dimmer than the pop icon's. The headline from the Herald News Service reads, "Lil Kim called 'laughable' liar." According to the wire, the federal prosecutor told the jury that the female rapper told "preposterous" lies when she took the stand in her trial for perjury, obstruction of justice and conspiracy stemming from a 2001 shootout at Hot 97. "Maybe she really believed she was the queen bee, that she was above the law," assistant U.S. attorney Cathy Seibel said during her closing argument. Despite the prosecutor's statement, Kim's attorney claims the prosecutors have presented a "bad, weak case."

| 30 years is crazy. i seen folks murder and only serve 16 years. my homie gets released this year and he stabbed a dude 11 times. he's been locked up since 94'. |

News Update from March 17
The jury of seven men and five women talked for more than five hours before being sent home for the night by Manhattan Federal Court Judge Gerard Lynch yesterday, according to New York's Daily News. The jury was unable to reach a verdict after a second day of deliberations. Lil Kim (ne้ Kimberly Jones) faces 30 years for perjury, obstruction of justice and conspiracy stemming from a 2001 shootout at Hot 97. The jury will resume deliberation today.
